Biography

Md. Sharif Ahmed Sarker is a doctoral candidate at Florida International University pursuing his Ph.D. in mechanical and materials engineering. He is employed by the FIU Applied Research Center as a Graduate Research Assistant. He intends to work in the national laboratories following his research interests after graduating in the fall of 2024. His areas of interest are robotics, multi-body dynamics, and fluid dynamics. In pursuit of his Ph.D., he is working under the guidance of Dwayne McDaniel Ph.D., P.E. on a range of projects, such as High-fidelity virtual simulation and controller development of a multi-crawler system for the inspection of small diameter pipe in fossil energy power plants.
