Biography

Dr. Waugh is Lead Scientist with Navarro Research and Engineering. He has over 30 years of research and operations experience at USDOE facilities. He has been recognized for original research on the design and long-term performance of engineered covers for radioactive waste disposal cells, phytoremediation of soils and groundwater using native desert phreatophytes, and the use of tree-ring chemistry for retrospective environmental monitoring. He is currently working on long-term stewardship issues for the DOE Office of Legacy Management.
