Biography

John has worked in the nuclear decommissioning sector since graduating as a mechanical engineering in 2002. Working for nuclear licensed sites and supply chain partners designing and developing engineered solutions for decommissioning high hazard facilities in the UK. Primarily experience in the design of remote handling equipment and modular process plants for the mechanical handling, size reduction and transportation of nuclear waste materials where remote techniques are required for radiological reasons. Latest role is that of engineering manager leading the technical evaluation and value assessment of thermal treatment of pumpable ILW materials within the Higher Activity Waste Thermal Treatment programme.
