Biography

Dr. Haiyong Jung is currently a principal researcher on decommissioning & RW safety at Dept. of Radioactive Waste Safety, Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS) and has been working at KINS for about 20 years as a technical reviewer, inspector, and research engineer. He has specialties on regulations of decommissioning and safety of radioactive waste management of nuclear installations. Prior to his current position on decommissioning, he was involved in the regulation on radioactive waste safety of nuclear installations and Wolsong LILW disposal facility. Dr. Jung holds a Bachelor, a Master, a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering, all from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
