Biography

Mr. Kyle Johnson is the Director of Engineering for VRC Metal Systems, LLC (VRC) located in Box Elder, South Dakota. VRC specializes in cold spray equipment manufacturing and cold spray process development. Mr. Johnson has spent 12 years in the development of manufacturing and coating deposition processes and has several relevant publications. Mr. Johnson is actively involved in cold spray research and development efforts and is the principal investigator on over $12.6M in funded projects, including, In Situ Structural Repair and Protection of LWR Components Using Cold Spray, DE-SC0017229, In Situ Stress Corrosion Crack Repair and Mitigation, DE-SC0020021, and multiple DoD process and equipment development efforts, W15QKN-18-C-0002, N68335-17-C-0556 & N00024-17-C-4020.
