Biography

Hans-Joachim Engelhardt studied geology and mineralogy. Currently, he is the deputy head of the department of repository safety at the BGE TECHNOLOGY GmbH. A focus of his work has been the development of materials for backfilling and seal construction. These tasks are carried out as part of the development of closure concepts and the required safety proofs. Backfilling and injection techniques are developed up to the operational readiness and technical support of the construction measures is performed, whereby an appropriate quality assurance for the proof of the required properties of the materials and building structures is assigned a special relevance.
