Biography

Yannick joined Galson Sciences Limited (Egis) in 2023 as a geoscientific researcher consultant, prior to which, he worked in both academic research and industry. He has a technical background in geological characterisation, modelling of fault slip behaviour and earthquake hazard assessment. During his PhD project in France, Yannick developed laboratory models using analog materials to simulate earthquake processes. Through his postdoctoral experiences at Rice University (USA) and Oxford University (UK), he also conducted numerical simulations of earthquake ruptures using particle-based models. Yannick published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals on geoscience topics, such as seismic hazards and natural reservoir resources.
