Biography

Louis Schaarschmidt holds a Masters Degree in Mining Engineering and graduated from Technical University Freiberg in 2019. After working in the aggregates industry he transfered back to Technical University Freiberg to pursue a PhD degree in radioactive waste disposal and associated challenges for mining and backfilling. He is currently working on the SAVER Project, researching new salt backfill materials and technologies.
