Biography

Dr. Bret Leslie is senior professional staff at the U.S. Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board. The Board is an independent federal government agency that evaluates the scientific and technical validity of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) efforts to implement the Nuclear Waste Policy Act. Dr. Leslie has worked on radioactive waste issues since the late-1980s. Bret developed the Board's Summer 2024 meeting. He is the staff lead for the Board's review of DOE's management and plans for disposal of DOE SNF.
