Biography

I am a mining engineer with more than 18 years’ experience in radioactive waste management. Between 2007 and 2015 I have worked for the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN and the Belgian waste management organization ONDRAF/NIRAS where I was involved in the Belgian RD&D program on the geological disposal of radioactive waste. In 2015 I joined the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) where I supported IAEA Member States in planning and implementing radioactive waste management solutions. In 2021 I took up consultancy work in the field of radioactive waste management, applying the wide range of expertise I developed in this field.
