Biography

Johan ten Veen is senior research geoscientist at TNO-Geological Survey of the Netherlands and holds a MSc from the VU-Amsterdam and a PhD degree from Utrecht University. He has more than 30 years experience in multidisciplinary basis analysis and skills include structural geology, sedimentology, seismostratigraphy, geomodelling and reservoir studies (geothermal, petroleum). As geoscientific lead, many of his current activities are aimed at providing regional understanding of the subsurface potential for energy production or storage of gases, water, radioactive waste and heat.
