Biography

Rixt Altenburg is a geologist at the Geological Survey of the Netherlands, part of TNO. She is working at the Department of Subsurface Modelling where they develop models of the subsurface and do research towards the sustainable use of the subsurface. Since a year and a half she is working on deep borehole disposal in the Netherlands. Last year she presented a workflow on how to assess geological formations for deep borehole disposal. After a year of work the workflow has been tested.
