Biography

Maxcine Maxted is currently the DOE-SR Nuclear Materials Senior Technical Advisor responsible for both the Spent Nuclear Fuel program and the surplus EM plutonium management and disposition program. Maxcine serves as the Citizens Advisory Board (CAB) liaison for Nuclear Materials interfacing with the public and the members of the CAB on all nuclear materials aspects. Maxcine also is the DOE-SR lead for the German Graphite Spent Nuclear Fuel research project. She has over 20 years’ experience with DOE at the Savannah River Site. Her responsibilities over her career have included being a general engineer on the New Production Reactor Program, Solid Radioactive Waste Management Program manager, and Nuclear
