Biography

Chuck Hayes serves as an advisor to the NNSA Office of Plutonium Disposition (NA-233). He was previously the Program/Project Integration Manager for the K Area Complex (KAC) at the Savannah River Site. As the integration manager for KAC, Chuck was responsible for the effective integration between ongoing operations and key projects to include the Surplus Plutonium Disposition Project. Chuck also managed implementation of ongoing and expanding International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards for KAC. Additional integration responsibilities include planning and executing programmatic activities with the NNSA and the Nuclear Nonproliferation Program organization to help ensure long-term complex-wide management and processing of surplus plutonium.
