Biography

Bruce Wiersma is an advisory engineer for the Materials Technology Division within the Environmental and Legacy Management directorate at the Savannah River National Laboratory. Based in Aiken, SC, he has 35 years of experience in the areas of corrosion and structural integrity of infrastructure, particularly as they pertain to the interim management of radioactive waste. He has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. He is a member of AMPP International corrosion society.
