Biography

Dr. Henley works for the Savannah River Remediation, primarily developing computer models of the chemical processing of liquid waste. Prior to joining SRR in 2016, Dr. Henley worked for 10 years as a research astrophysicist at the University of Georgia, studying the Galaxy's hot interstellar medium using data from orbiting observatories and state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics simulations. He has extensive experience in scientific computing, data analysis, and technical writing, and has published 23 articles in refereed scientific journals. He was educated in the U.K., receiving an M.Phys. and a Ph.D. in physics.
