Biography

Olexander Biland earned his MS’s in Electronics Engineering from Ukrainian Polytechnic University in 1981. After graduation he worked as an engineer for Research Institute of Hydro-acoustic Systems, where he developed various components for sonar systems. In 2008, Olexander was invited to US to lead the development of new basalt fiber production facility, as well as to lead the development of new specialty fibers and products based on them. Since then he provides engineering and consulting services to various companies in US, EU and Japan. Olexander developed new products and new processes based on basalt fiber materials
