Biography

As a Senior Regulatory Specialist with Longenecker & Associates, Shelly Wilson has extensive regulatory experience through 28 years prior with the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. Shelly worked with private and federal facilities toward environmental remediation, including over 20 years in the partnering process resulting in faster, more collaborative cleanup. Shelly led state regulatory oversight of high level waste at SRS, including 6 high level waste tank closures. Shelly later used partnering practices in permitting for new industries, resulting in a Permit Central program launched by former Governor Haley and recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency in 2018 as a best national practice.
