Senior Ecologist/Botanist/Plant Ecologist, Rocky Flats Site, Westminster, CO 80021, M.A., Biology (emphasis Botany), University of Northern Colorado, 1993 B.A., Biology/Earth Science, University of Northern Iowa, 1984 A.A., Photography, Hawkeye Institute of Technology, 1979 Mr. Nelson is the Senior Ecologist at the Rocky Flats Site in Colorado. He is responsible for natural resource management and ecological monitoring at Rocky Flats. He is experienced in project permitting requirements, coordinating and conducting consultations with regulatory agencies and has authored numerous regulatory documents for projects to avoid, minimize, and mitigate impacts to natural resources including wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and migratory birds.
