Biography

Dr. Aravelli is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina A&T State University. Until recently, she was a Research Scientist at Florida International University. She received her Ph.D. and M.S degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami and West Virginia University respectively. Dr. Aravelli’ s research and industrial experience span broad areas of engineering including sensors, robotics, building energy systems modeling, engine emissions, structural health monitoring and AI. Dr. Aravelli has published a book, authored, and reviewed numerous journal and conference publications. She is a Principal Investigator conducting fundamental and applied research under federally funded projects from DOE, DOD, NSF and industry.
