Biography

Dr. John B. Williams is a Professor in the Department of Biological & Physical Sciences at South Carolina State University. His research of over twenty five years with Savannah River Site has focused on detecting contaminant plume fringe movements and natural attenuation. Much of his work has been collaborative with Ashley Shull of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions addressing VOC plumes. Previous research at SRS included visiting faculty appointments to University of Georgia’s Savannah River Ecology Lab. Currently, he is collaborating with Dr. Brady Lee, SRNL, and Dr. Jim Moran’s team at Michigan State Univ. to apply CSIA and microbial community analyses to plume natural attenuation.
