Biography

Reinhard Schmidt, visionary CEO and founder of econ industries, pioneers sustainable solutions in hazardous waste management. 20 years ago, the mechanical engineer founded econ industries in Munich/Germany to develop technologies and to design, manufacture and supply turnkey recycling plants for industrial hazardous wastes, most of them based on the principle of separating contaminations such as mercury and hydrocarbons by low-temperature vacuum distillation. Today, over 1,000 tons of waste are recycled in econ plants worldwide every day, on 3 continents and in 13 countries.
