Biography

Chandan Shilpakar is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wyoming, specializing in plant sciences. He joined the forage agronomy lab under the supervision of Anowar Islam in 2018, and his dissertation research explores soil-vegetation-livestock dynamics in reclaimed grassland near Shirley Basin, Wyoming. He has been collaborating with the Department of Energy Office of Legacy Management (LM) Strategic partner to document regenerative grazing benefits at LM sites. He has presented his academic works at several regional and international conferences. Chandan holds a BS degree in agricultural science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and completed an MS degree in plant sciences from the University of Wyoming, USA.
