Biography

Steve Wickham is a Technical Director at Galson Sciences. He has degrees in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford (BA Hons) and the University of Cambridge (PhD), and has provided 30 years of consultancy support to the nuclear industry in nuclear decommissioning, radioactive waste management and disposal. Steve is experienced in inventory estimation, radioactive waste treatment (in particular thermal treatment), packaging and storage, long-term performance assessment of radioactive waste disposal, repository engineered barrier design, contaminant transport studies, strategic options appraisal, stakeholder dialogue and support for regulation and disposal facility development programmes in Belgium, France, Sweden, Norway, the UK and the US.
