Biography

Dr. Rigato currently works on issues related to the storage and transportation of radioactive materials with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and spent 6 reviewing similar issues for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He worked in private industry for 5 years as a structural engineer investigating and modeling the effect of hurricanes and tornados on residential and commercial structures (including nuclear power plants) for wind borne debris, flooding, wind damage, and insurance, and spent another 6 years designing and inspecting civil structures for another private company. His education comes from the University of Maryland and the Universita' di Padova.
