Sarah Suffield is a mechanical engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). She received a B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. She has worked on the development of complex thermal and computation fluid dynamic models at PNNL. She has experience with a variety of commercial codes including StarCCM+, Fluent, and ANSYS APDL. Her modeling experience includes work in the nuclear transport and storage industry, mixing tanks, effluent stack sampling of buildings, and particulate respiratory modeling. Her current modeling work has been focused on particle deposition modeling of spent fuel storage canisters.
