Biography

Patrick Schwab has a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He has been an author of Environmental Impact Statements, worked on the initial shipments of spent nuclear fuel from foreign research reactors back to the U.S., and managed a program to deploy security technologies at DOE's nuclear weapons facilities. Since 2007, he has worked in the DOE's Office of Nuclear Energy. Today he leads the Atlas Railcar Project for transportation of spent nuclear fuel and high-level waste.
