Biography

Ricky Furr has held multiple roles during his 16+ year tenure with Areva (now Orano). Within Nuclear Decommissioning, Mr. Furr has served as Project Manager for ODS’ Vermont Yankee RV/RVI segmentation and packaging project, and as Engineering/Field Implementation Supervisor and Reactor Packages Transportation/Disposal Project Manager for ODS’ Crystal River Unit 3 (CR3) RV/RVI Optimized Segmentation project. Mr. Furr is one of the proud inventors of the Orano patented Optimized Segmentation process (Patent US9728287) successfully implemented on the CR3 project. Concurrent with these roles, Mr. Furr is the ODS Operational Excellence Champion and company-wide Asset Manager. Mr. Furr has a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
