Biography

Ian holds an MSc in Engineering Management from Brunel University London and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester Metropolitan University. He is an experienced Chartered Mechanical Engineer (CEng, IMechE) with broad technical expertise in the design, testing and approvals of substantial projects relating to the power generation and defence industries, including radioactive material transport flasks, nuclear lifting and handling equipment and specialist process / remote operation machines. Ian is Head of Technical at NTS, responsible for managing a team of Engineering and Nuclear Science Professionals. His responsibilities include Design Authority for NTS Transport Package Assets.
