Biography

Laura Mossop has worked in the nuclear industry for over 22 years in a technical discipline supporting Research & Technology and Waste Characterisation activities on the Sellafield Site. During this time, Laura has amassed expertise in characterisation through practical and technical experience. She is also recognised as a leading expert that supports national and international assignments. Laura leads a team of thirty technical specialist to deliver technical characterisation packages of work that underpin decommissioning plans and waste routing decisions. She specialises in systematic planning and its execution, championing the waste management hierarchy and robust decision making for waste operations.
