Biography

Ms Yankovich has >30 years of experience as an environmental scientist, working on complex nuclear sites (power reactor, research reactor, mines), with focus on safety and compliance. She has practical experience in environmental impact assessment (radionuclides, chemicals, physical hazards, biohazards), monitoring, characterisation, waste management, licensing, surveillance, inspection, and evaluation of potential short- and long-term impacts using a risk-based approach. Ms Yankovich worked as a Radiation Protection Specialist at IAEA for 9 years, where she was Scientific Secretary on international Safety Standards on remediation and monitoring. She is currently serving as Characterisation Manager at NRS Dounreay in UK.
