Biography

Con leads the engineering teams within ANSTO and holds several roles representing Australia within the global nuclear industry. Con has overseen the first decommissioning and dismantling in Australia of a nuclear reactor, Moata, and now leads the HIFAR Reactor Decommissioning Project. Con is the Chair of the IAEA Decommissioning Network (IDN) Steering Group and is on the Bureau of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency Decommissioning of Nuclear Installations and Legacy Management. Con is member of the PAC and IPAC with Waste Management Symposia and represents Australia on the newly established Technical Working Group on Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation (TWG-DER) reporting to the IAEA Deputy Director General (Nuclear Energy).
