Biography

Graduated in Geology from IGEO/UFRJ, with a master's degree and PhD in Civil Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ. He has 27 years of professional experience in the area of Environmental Radiation protection at IRD/CNEN, acting as technical-scientific support for Brazilian Nuclear regulatory Authority, supporting safety reviews and assessments, development (or updating) of national regulations and guides related to radiological protection and support in inspections of nuclear facilities. In addition to regulatory activities, I participate in and coordinate scientific research projects, and I give class in the lato sensu and stricto sensu postgraduate courses at IRD/CNEN.
