Biography

Chris Knott joined the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) with a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton in 2007 and is currently a Senior Scientist in the Tritium Technology Team. Since joining the team, Chris has built up extensive experience in tritium assay techniques, accountancy & control, material handling in gloveboxes, and the approaches to identifying and assaying legacy items with little background information, with minimal operator risk. In addition to his technical role, Chris also holds the position of Lab Manager and Radiation Protection Supervisor for the team, promoting high standards of safety and security.
