Biography

Dr Rachel L. Wilson joined the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in 2017 and is currently a Senior Materials and Analytical Scientist working within the Tritium Technology Team. Her role and experience cover various tritium assay and analytical techniques, tritium accountancy, and control. One of her main technical focuses is the development and delivery of the Tritium Legacy, Waste Management and Material Disposition Programme, which involves identification of unknown waste forms, assay, packaging, and disposal of wastes, whilst also engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to support a reduction in AWE’s nuclear liabilities.
