Biography

Dr Dario C. Castiglione joined the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in 2008 and is currently a Principal Estate Liabilities Specialist. Between 2014 and 2023 he was the Senior Team Leader for Tritium Technology where he managed a multi-disciplinary team delivering three primary objectives supporting the UK’s nuclear deterrent programme; Tritium Assay, Tritium Accountancy & Control, and Tritium Legacy and Waste Management. In addition to his management responsibilities, his technical focus has been developing a Legacy Materials Disposition Programme and forging the strategic links within the UK, and with international collaborators, to reduce AWE’s nuclear liabilities burden.
