Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
Brian is a Materials Scientist in the Nuclear Science Division at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory where he has worked since 1998. Brian is also a Technical Team Lead for the Waste Form Development Team in the Radiological Materials Group. Brian’s work focuses on the development of waste forms such as glasses, glass ceramics, and ceramics for a variety of nuclear waste streams (e.g., cold war legacy wastes, used nuclear fuel reprocessing wastes, molten salt reactor wastes) and high-performance sorbents for off-gas capture (e.g., iodine, noble gases). His primary focus is in designing and developing materials for niche applications.
