Biography

Dr. McElroy, earned his doctorate in Nuclear Science and Engineering from Cornell University and has over 30 years’ experience in the development of waste assay and safeguards measurement systems while working in industry and at the US national laboratories. He has fielded in excess of 300 neutron and gamma-ray based assay systems for use in domestic and international measurement programs. He is presently a distinguished lab fellow working in the Safeguards & Security Technology group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
