Biography

Gerry is the Technical Director of the Synroc Technology program at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, where his team is deploying an innovative nuclear waste treatment technology using hot isostatic pressing. Synroc technology is being used to treat intermediate level liquid waste arising from Mo-99 production to produce a durable waste form targeted for future disposal at the NWMF. Gerry has worked in research and development, across the technology readiness pipeline for over 35years in both industry and national labs. During his time at ANSTO (30 years) he has worked across a broad spectrum of projects that support Australia's national research priorities in nuclear, energy & defence.
