Biography

As a manager in the Operations Department at Belgoprocess Thomas Huys is responsible for process development, waste form qualification, waste characterization an the planning of all operational activities at Belgoprocess. His team is specialized in thermal treatment, remote handling, immobilization technologies, effluent treatment and characterization techniques. Currently, he is also acting as Operations director at interim. Thomas started working in 2006 at Belgoprocess as a waste characterization engineer. He graduated from the University of Antwerp with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and from the University of Leuven with a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering.
