green-land and Politecnico di Torino
Francesca got her M.Sc. at Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo) with a thesis on the management of radioactive waste from decommissioning of NPP. She is now pursuing her industrial PhD at PoliTo working as a process engineer for green-land, an Italian start-up in the field of nuclear decommissioning. Francesca is committed to develop a new process for the conditioning of ion exchange resins aiming at reducing volume and operative time and costs. She contributed to produce a new geopolymer-based matrix able to embed 3x the usual quantity of resin. She also worked on new technologies for internals and vessel segmentation.
