Isabelle Muller is a project manager at the Vitreous State Laboratory of the Catholic University of America. Muller is in charge of research and development programs for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), with a focus on nuclear environmental protection. Dr. Muller brings 35 years of expertise on nuclear waste vitrification, including glass formulation development, characterization, melter testing, and scale-up, with key experience on nuclear waste characterization and simulant development, glass formulations and waste loading optimization, glass property characterization and modeling, and glass leaching. Her passion is to expose students to this field via internship research projects.
