Biography

Saiying Bowers serves as a Civil Structural Design Authority Engineer with the Savanah River Nuclear Solutions, at the Savannah River Site. She previously worked at the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility Project and for the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Her experiences span various areas in structural analysis, structural inspection, and project management of buildings, highway structures, and nuclear facilities and equipment. She received a Ph.D. in Civil Structural Engineering from the University of South Carolina with a focus on Computational Mechanics. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in both Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering disciplines in the State of South Carolina.
