Biography

Mr. McCandless is a project manager and subject matter expert on radioactive waste disposal in the performance assessment practice area at Neptune and Company, Inc. His current projects include a Probabilistic Performance Assessment of the West Valley Site near Buffalo, New York. The West Valley PPA Model is structured to evaluate and rank the impact of a wide variety of decision alternatives. He also manages a Performance Assessment for the disposal of depleted uranium at EnergySolutions’ LLRW disposal facility in Clive, Utah. Mr. McCandless has over 25 years of experience in radioactive waste management and disposal.
