Biography

Andrew De La Paz currently works as a nuclear engineer for the DOE Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security’s Office of Nuclear Safety. He has been with DOE for 25 years at NNSA’s Livermore Field Office, and NNSA’s and the Office of Science’s Headquarters offices working in various nuclear safety technical areas. Prior to DOE, Andy was with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board and Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, and he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University and the University of Michigan, respectively.
