Biography

Dr. Lyndsey Fyffe, PhD is a nuclear safety engineer in EHSS-31, the Office of Nuclear Safety Basis and Facility Design. She has been in this role since spring 2022. Prior to joining the federal service, Lyndsey was the contractor safety basis manager for plutonium facilities at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a nuclear safety engineer performing safety analysis for nuclear facilities. Lyndsey’s experience in managing and performing technical work in the DOE nuclear safety space has encompassed accelerators, waste, and plutonium, at various lifecycle stages. Lyndsey has a BS in civil/environmental engineering from Duke University and an MS and PhD focusing on nuclear environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University.
