Biography

Anastasia Bernat is a Data Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory who is interested in providing data-driven solutions to environment, energy, and national security problems. She builds software that aid scientists and researchers in their analyses and visualizations, including: web applications, processing frameworks, and interoperable packages. Prior work at the University of Chicago resided in computational ecology where she worked at the interface of machine and code, taught statistical methods in R and Python, and tested ecological responses to climate change. She received a BS in Environmental Science and Honors BA in English at the University of Chicago.
