Biography

Kevin Hickey received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware. His doctoral work consisted of leveraging quantum chemistry and general numerical approaches to modeling the chemical reduction of explosives and munition constituents from natural organic and inorganic electron sources in the subsurface. Kevin then joined the Environmental Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher in 2022 where he has been utilizing computational chemistry techniques to model the fate and effects of polymers and plastics in the environment.
