Margaret MacDonell has a B.S. in biology from Notre Dame, M.S. in civil/environmental health engineering (CE/EHE) from Notre Dame, and Ph.D. in CE/EHE) from Northwestern. She has 37 years of experience at Argonne in environmental health risk analyses with an emphasis on radioactive waste management, environmental restoration, mixtures and cumulative risks. She is an enthusiastic Fellow of Waste Management and Fellow and past President of the Society for Risk Analysis, and she has served on National Academies committees for toxicity and exposure guidelines and the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements committee on environmental remediation and radioactive waste management.
