Biography

Dr. Ramon Pulido is an R&D mechanical engineer and Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. His research focus is on large scale testing of simulated spent fuel storage and disposal systems. Ramon specializes in the generation of model-validation quality experimental data using prototypic-scale testing apparatuses. He previously completed a blind model validation exercise characterizing thermal-hydraulic behavior of horizontal dry storage systems. He is currently leading R&D efforts on a simulated commercial drying apparatus focused on the quantification of residual water in dry storage canisters.
